Our story

  1. In the early 1960s, Lino Mendes Neves, father of today's two partners, emigrates to France.
  2. 1969. He returns to Portugal with the savings he built up.
  3. He buys a plot of land in Casal do Marco, with two friends.
  4. The three of them build a 13-storey building there.
  5. It was the start of a long road: hard work and a wish to create better living conditions for the future.
  6. Other projects followed, with other friends. At a time when bank credit for private construction practically did not exist.
  7. 1978. He reaches financial independence and starts building on his own.
  8. 1992. Construções Lino Mendes Neves & Filhos, Lda. is born. A new stage, with more structured, consistent work.
  9. Almost sixty years on, there is work all over Almada and Seixal: apartment buildings, houses and warehouses that helped the region grow.
  10. More than buildings and flats, a story of work, vision, perseverance, enterprise and family unity.
  11. A heritage and a legacy that endures.
